Feb 21st / 585 notes †Interview with Richard Ramirez
Interviewer: When did you actively start to bring the devil into your life, worship-wise?
Richard: It was about 1980, and I was hustling on the streets. I landed in jail for a month or two for petty theft. I met up with this guy who was a Satan worshiper. For those two months I was with him, then I get out of jail, but my mind didn’t. I remembered everything he said, which basically was, “Why worship the good guy, when the things you do aren’t so good?” Somehow it just made sense to me, to worship something that would protect you in what you were doing.
Interviewer: How did your worship take form?
RIchard: It developed slowly. I started reading the books, and then I started meeting people who were into the same thing. Satanists need to have more faith than Christians, because Christ was seen and felt. Lucifer has never felt the need to be seen, but in everyone’s soul he can be felt. A lot of these little cults practice Satanism nowadays, but not in a violent form. They’re only looking for ways to play out wickedness.
Interviewer: Ever tried your hand at a Black Mass?
Richard: Only one, but kept my distance. I was not part of that group. It was at a cemetery and it was at night. I really couldn’t tell what we were doing. A friend and me were watching from a distance. I never trusted people anyway. Especially them.

Jan 2nd / 105 notes †Charles Bishop was an honor student and his friends described him as a “nice guy”. On January 5, 2002, the 15-year-old stole a small single engine plane and crashed it into the Bank of America building in Tampa, Florida. He left a suicide note in his pocket which was found immediately but wasn’t made public until January 9, although details were given on January 6. When it first happened, all anyone knew was a teenager had stolen a plane and it crashed into the BoA building.
The suicide note found in Charles’ pocket said:
“I have prepared this statement in regards to the acts I am about to commit. First of all, Osama bin Laden is absolutely justified in the terror he has caused on 9-11. He has brought a mighty nation to its knees! God blesses him and the others who helped make September 11th happen. The U.S. will have to face the consequences for its horrific actions against the Palestinian people and Iraqis by its allegiance with the monstrous Israelis—who want nothing short of world domination! You will pay—God help you—and I will make you pay! There will be more coming! Al Qaeda and other organizations have met with me several times to discuss the option of me joining. I didn’t. This is an operation done by me only. I had no other help, although, I am acting on their behalf. Osama bin Laden is planning on blowing up the Super Bowl with an antiquated nuclear bomb left over from the 1967 Israeli-Syrian war.”

Dec 29th / 850 notes †On January 8, 1991, Jeremy Delle, a 15-year-old sophomore who had recently transferred to the school, killed himself with a .357 Magnum in front of his second-period English class. He was described by schoolmates as “acting sad”. After coming into class late that morning, he was told to get an attendance slip from the school office. He left and returned with a .357 revolver. He walked to the front of the class and announced, “Miss, I got what I really went for.” Delle then put the gun into his mouth and pulled the trigger. The incident inspired the Pearl Jam song “Jeremy”. The band’s lead singer, Eddie Vedder, read a newspaper account of the incident and was moved to write the song almost immediately.
